Wear a proper jacket, which is available in two lengths Long and Short. When you are fishing from a boat or have to wade through shallow water, a long jacket is necessary. When using chest waders, wear short jacket as bottom portion of long ones get wet in water. To carry lure and other necessities, wear a jacket with multiple pockets. A hat equipped with a visor is good since you need some shade while gazing into the water.

If you are a good angler, you would always carry three stashes of lure and tackle box where the first one is meant for home stockpile, the larger and second one for the boat and third is for the car. This protects you from any adverse incident. Buying all fishing supplies in large quantities at the start of the season makes good sense.
